This shop is proud of its handmade bread, with dozens of different varieties to choose from.
[5 minutes by car from JR Tokuyama Station! Look for the red wall] We also recommend new products that change every month, as well as breads that match seasonal ingredients and events. There is a spac |
I went to Jean Paul Cafe, a bakery in Tokuyama. It's located across from Tokuyama Elementary School on Sakurababa Street, and you'll easily recognize it as it's a red building. They also do things like bread mornings, so customers are there from the time the store opens. We were just going to buy some bread to go home, but then we noticed some black bread. ■Black Hole 220 yen (238 yen including tax) "Jean Paul special condensed milk" "Delicious enough to draw you in" "Advance of Reiwa" It says this. It seems to be a French bread made with bamboo ink from Miyazaki Prefecture. I bought it and ate it at home, and it was like an advance... but to put it simply, it's "ink". I thought the condensed milk inside was white, but it was dark... I guess it's because it's French bread and it's hard, but it felt like I was eating "ink" (tears). ■Ink, Anko Cheese and Me 190 yen (206 yen including tax) "Did you want to eat Kaneko Mizu?" It says this. It also seems to use bamboo ink from Miyazaki Prefecture. It was filled with bean paste and cheese, and the inside was delicious, except for the black dough. It's just my preference, but I now understand that "regular bread" is better than "black" (lol). Next time I'll choose by color.
