This izakaya is located less than a 10-minute walk from the conventional exit of Tokuyama Station Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in fresh seafood from the Setouchi Inland Sea. Today was the third day of my 4-night, 5-day business trip to Kochi and Tokuyama, so I transferred from Kochi to Shin-Yamaguchi by taking the limited express ``Nankaze'' and the Shinkansen ``Kodama.'' After successfully completing a meeting with a business partner that I had scheduled in the afternoon, I took the Shinkansen "Kodama" from Shin-Yamaguchi to Tokuyama in the evening. After checking in to the business hotel I had booked, I immediately sweated it out in the public bath. After that, I took a break in my room for a while, and then met up with my classmates from my previous job who I had met in front of Tokuyama Station. My colleague took me to this restaurant, which is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that mainly serves seafood, but I was really looking forward to it because the menu had a wide range of options. It was after 6pm when I arrived at the restaurant, but the tables and tatami rooms were already full, so I sat down at the counter. For now, I toasted with draft beer (450 yen) and oolong tea (250 yen), and when I looked at the menu, it was true that the menu was wide-ranging, and I was confused as to which one to order. After some consideration, we found live squid (2,029 yen), chicken tataki (890 yen), Grilled skewer skin (80 yen), celery (100 yen), bonjiri (130 yen), pork bean sprouts (490 yen), and natto (160 yen). I decided to order yen). The first thing that came out was pork bean sprouts, which was recommended by my colleague. It's a simple dish, but the seasoning is exquisite, so it's understandable why it's so popular. The much-anticipated live squid was made fresh, and it was translucent and looked delicious. When you actually eat it, you can clearly see that it is chewy and fresh. I had the remaining pieces of geso made into Tempura (200 yen), which was also really delicious. My favorite dishes, tataki chicken, Grilled skewer skin, celery, and bonjiri, are also at a level that satisfies me. Since I was pretty full, I was only able to order additional dishes after that, such as salted mackerel (330 yen), assorted sausages (390 yen), and mimiga (280 yen). This time as well, my fellow drinkers drank a lot, so the bill came to just over 5,000 yen per person, but if you were just eating and drinking normally, it would have cost around 4,000 yen. Due to the small number of reviews and the inclusion of old reviews, Tabelog 's overall rating is not high, but it is certainly a talented restaurant, as evidenced by the fact that it was fully booked when we entered.
