サントリーバー白州はＪＲ中央本線の小淵沢駅からサントリー白州工場行きのシャトルバスに乗り南に走り１５分（５．３Ｋｍ）ほど、南アルプスからの良質な地下天然水を選ようとここ白州に８２万㎡の広大な蒸留所を創られたのは１９７３年だそうです。
今日は某団体の秋季研修会に参加し南アルプス市で大規模開発されている２工場を視察、帰りがけにこの白州工場内に立ち寄り晩秋に親しむことに。
サントリー白州工場に着いたのは午後３時少し前でその工場内にあるバーの先客は８人、注文したのはサントリー響１２年１５ｍｌのストレート／２００円と白州１５ｍｌの炭酸水割り／２００円をそれぞれ１４杯ずつ。ここはサントリー製品専用の有料テイスティングバーでここだけの特別価格。
そのサントリーウィスキー響ですがここ数年で２～３割りも値上げされたとか、値上げだけならまだしも山崎や響と云う銘柄の高額ウィスキーは現在入手がほとんど困難と云う、だったら呑まなきゃ。
さて、その響１２年の味だが梅酒樽を使用した微かな酸味が特徴的らしい、なるほどそう云われればそんな味がする。一方の白州は滑らかで清々しい味わいで水のようにおいしいと云う、何となく判る… 気がした。
