当時はまだ今程にJapanese Single Maltは注目されていなかったので、サントリーの工場見学も無料、見学後のウイスキー試飲も山崎と白州が飲み放題、オマケにグラスまで手土産に頂けるという時代でした。
この日は朝から山に登って、昼過ぎに下山。夕飯までまだ時間あるから、蒸留所併設のbarでウイスキーの飲み比べをしようということに。行ってみたらいつも以上にガラガラ。カウンターの店員さんも余裕があるのか色々とお話しして下さる。（実際、お客さんは我々1組のみ）
バーカウンターは銀座老舗barで使われていたものを移設したものだとか、飲み比べるならこんな順番がいいですよ、このウイスキーは珍しいから是非飲んでもらいたい、とか。
この時は白州の1982年シングルカスクとかも1ショット数百円で飲む事ができた。白州ノンエイジで作るハイボールに限っては150円とかじゃなかったかな。
良き思い出。
ここ以外ではとても数百円では飲めないウイスキーばかり。白州で日中少し時間が空いた時に立ち寄るには最適なお店。
但し、ドライバーとなる人は予め決めておかないと喧嘩になるので注意。
