近くを歩いていたら「うなぎ」というのぼりがパタパタと風にあおられていたのを見て行ってみることにした。もちろん初訪問である。平日ランチに鰻にはあまり行かないのであるが、この日は時間もあり、多少時間がかかっても良かったのである。
場所は東急ホテルの西側の裏手にある。最近ご無沙汰しているが、酔太郎のすぐそばである。
暖簾をくぐると・・・何と全席囲炉裏端になっていた。ということで椅子ではなく、靴を脱いで上がり、板の間の上の座布団に座るという正直あまり私は好きではないタイプの造りであった。やはり椅子の方が足にも負担はなく、ゆったりできるのである。
ということで最初の目的の通りうな重をオーダーした。そして待つこと約20分、美味しそうなうな重がやってきた。ふつうは鰻屋にいると奥から美味しそうな香りがしてくるのであるが、こちらではそういうのが全くなかった。換気のシステムがしっかりしているのか全く不思議であった。蓋を開けると美味しそうなのであるがやはりあまり良い香りがしない。何でだろうね？？？
食べてみるととてもふっくらした鰻なのであるが、何というかタレにあまり味の深みがないのである。やはり老舗の鰻屋さんでは継ぎ足し継ぎ足し使った長年の味の深みが感じられるタレを楽しめるが、こちらの鰻はそういうのがあまりないようであった。
また2500円というとても安いお値段で提供しているので、コスパはとても良いと思うのだが、正直スーパーの鰻を食べているような感じであった。まあ再訪はないだろうなあ～～
