I visited Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), which opened on May 27, 2023 on the first floor of Orange Town, a 5-minute walk from Hisaya-odori Subway Station. The restaurant has 4 seats at the counter, 2 tables, and 3 private rooms. The menu included oden with shijimi broth, octopus, Oyster Seafood shabu shabu and dried fish grilled over binchotan charcoal. Seafood shabu shabu I was going to order three kinds of oden, dried ray fins, gyoza and deep-fried char siu pork, but the gyoza and seri were out of stock that day. (^^;) First of all, shijimi clam soup appeared as an appetizer. Oden selection 3 kinds of oden: chikuwa, ganmo, and genkotsu daikon (radish). The dashi (dashi broth) is made from shijimi clam, and the shijimi clam is very strong. I like this broth. The large daikon radish and ganmono were soaked in the broth and were quite tasty. I would like to try Seafood shabu shabu with someone next time if I have a chance.
