Featured in the Michelin Guide, Kinboshi was founded in Imaike in 1992 as a counter-style yakitori restaurant. The restaurant is located within walking distance of Imaike Station and Ikeshita Station |
We visited Kinboshi Imaike, located on the first floor of Mizuno Building in Imaike, Chikusa Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. It is about a six-minute walk from Imaike Station or Ikeshita Station on the Higashiyama Line of the Nagoya Municipal Subway, and there is a paid parking lot nearby, so it is easy to access. There are 31 seats, with counter seats and a small raised tatami room on the first floor, and table seats on the second floor. There are several private rooms on the first floor, and although the second floor is not completely private, there are table seats separated by partitions. The interior of the restaurant is compact and has a calm atmosphere. Kinboshi is a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide. This time, we ordered the following menu. Shinzo (1 skewer, 198 yen): A proud skewer that has remained unchanged since the restaurant opened, Shinzo is medium rare, with a focus on softness, and was very delicious. Quail skewer (198 yen per skewer): A Kinboshi-style skewer with anchovies instead of salt on top of a hot, soft, half-boiled egg. The soft-boiled egg was hot and soft, and very delicious. Shishito pepper (165 yen each): A vegetable skewer topped with soy sauce and shaved bonito. It is delicious when cooked just right, so it is recommended for those who like shishito peppers. Kumidashi tofu (275 yen): A small dish of soft tofu before it is put into a mold. It is refreshingly washed down with homemade dashi soy sauce. Pickled vegetable platter (385 yen): A small dish of an assortment of seasonal vegetables and pickled cucumbers. Kinboshi was founded in Imaike in 1992 as a counter-based yakitori restaurant. With the spirit of "authentic but not high-class, delicious yakitori," we offer the best yakitori and seasonal dishes delivered to you in the best condition. There are also value-for-money items that change monthly. If I have the opportunity, I would like to visit again. Thank you!
