今池駅北側のこちらのお店は1935年創業の超老舗の栗菓子専門店で建物の建て直しの関係で一度東区へ移転されましたが昨年度2月に再度千種区内山に戻ってきたお店となっております。
リニューアルにあたって店舗は一から作られているのでとても綺麗で老舗感がなくなっております。
祝日のお昼過ぎにお邪魔しましたが、口コミ等でよく話題に上がっている栗きんとん巻きは残念ながら売り切れてしまっておりました。
その代わりに他に気になった商品をいくつか購入させて頂きました。
栗きんとんと塩大福、栗どら焼きを買ってみました。
栗きんとん
よくあるさつまいもと一緒になったタイプではなく栗のみを使用したものになっております。甘過ぎるということはなく、栗のホクホク感が軽い食感を演出しております。所々大きい栗の粒もあり香りに緩急が付けられています。
塩大福
皮に使われている餅が厚くて美味しかったです、塩加減も良くてあんこの甘さが引き立っていました。
栗どら焼き
栗が入っているためか大きいなと思いました。あんこたっぷりで嬉しかったです。
