北名古屋市に２０１９年７月５日にオープンしたうなぎ屋さん、さっそく休日のお昼に利用してみました。店内は一階がカウンター７席とお座敷、掘りごたつ合わせて４卓ほどの席数、二階席も２０席くらいあるみたいですね。１１時の開店直後に入ったのですがすでに先客が３組でしたが、帰るころにはほぼ満席になっていました。
メニューはうな重の並が２８００円、上が３３００円、特上４５００円、ダブル５９００円、うな丼の並が２２００円、上が２７００円、特上３２００円、ひつまぶしが２８００円、もり盛りが３３００円など、一品料理は長焼きや白焼き、鰻巻きやうざく、肝焼きなど、うなぎ以外にも天ぷらや刺身の定食や海鮮丼などもあります。
いつもなら丼派なのでうな丼をいただくところですが、オススメというひつまぶしのもり盛りのステキなビジュアルがすごく気になっていたのでそれを注文です。
そのひつまぶしもり盛り、メニューの説明書きにはおひつからこぼれるほどに盛られたうなぎということだったのですが、実際に登場したのはまったくこぼれる様子は見受けられずごくごく普通の盛りつけのひつまぶし、盛り盛り感はカケラも感じられずちょっとテンション下がっちゃいましたね、まあ値段からすればこんなものなのかもですが。老舗鰻問屋直営ということで身は太くはないものの素材はさすがにしっかりしたもの、焼きも備長炭でしっかり焼き上げられており表面はパリッとした食感が強めで少し甘めのタレの味もワタクシ好み、普通にひつまぶしとしては美味しかったです。
ただ今回は「もり盛り」を期待していただけにその点だけは残念でしたね。もり盛りという言葉に完全に言葉負けしていると思います。
