I visited Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located right next to Meitetsu Iwakura Station during the bright hours of the 2nd day of the New Year. There were about 15 tables, 4 horigotatsu tables, and a private room called a family room. We arrived early, a little after 3pm, so there was only one group of customers in front of us. The menu is proud of meat tofu and doteyaki, so it includes white and black meat tofu and doteyaki, seafood such as Seafood, Grilled skewer such as yakitori, fried Fried food, grilled dishes on a ceramic plate, as well as single-person hotpots and Cafeterias. There were also various set meals. Also, for drinks, the cheap lemon sour is a great value at 199 yen, and the other drinks are all in a reasonable price range. What I received was the signature dish Meat Tofu, several pieces of doteyaki, and a fresh fish tower. First up was Niku Tofu, the Niku Tofu came in white with a light bonito stock, black with a rich Hatcho miso flavored stock, and on this day, you could choose the spiciness of red. As someone from Nagoya, I naturally ordered the black one, but it was surprisingly light for a Hatcho miso base.Personally, I would have liked a richer dashi stock as well. However, for the average person, I think the taste is quite strong, and tofu and boiled eggs that are well-seasoned are quite appealing. The meat is diced and has a firm texture and fat, which is not bad, but personally I would prefer it sliced thinner. The fresh fish at the fresh fish tower was hamachi on this day. The hamachi piled up inside the box is quite large, so much so that if you eat it alone, you'll never run out of it and you'll get tired of it. It's a good value for 499 yen, and the taste was nice and greasy, so it wasn't bad at all. On Saturdays and Sundays, it's open until dawn, so you can have lunch there, and the food is very appealing, including single-person hot pots.If I have a chance, I'd like to visit again.Thank you for the meal.
