PR for restaurants |
A 2-minute walk from JR Kasugai Station, this is a hideaway for adults where you can enjoy everything from Obanzai to authentic Japanese-style meal.
The proprietress is the sole owner, and handles everything from purchasing to cooking, and serves up carefully prepared obanzai dishes using seasonal ingredients. Even if it's your first time visiting |
When I went to Kasugai for a relative's funeral, I went to a small Japanese restaurant in front of the station with a relative I hadn't seen in a long time. Entering through the stylish entrance, you take off your shoes and enter a wooden tatami room. There is a wide and long counter and table seats that are wider than I expected. On the counter, there are large plates of obanzai lined up, which makes you hungry. First, I ordered a selection of several kinds of obanzai. I thought the taste would be strong because it is near Nagoya, but it was surprisingly delicious with a refined flavor. The turban sashimi was large and live, and had a crunchy texture. The warm mushroom hotpot had a lot of different mushrooms in it, so the broth was full of flavor. The staff were all middle-aged women, and the gentle taste that reminded me of a mother's cooking and the gentle service were nice. I just popped into the restaurant, but it made me think that it would be nice to have a restaurant like this in my neighborhood.
