A gourmet friend of mine from Akita invited me to visit Takamura Japanese Cuisine, a restaurant I'd always wanted to try. I was impressed by how delicious every dish was. I especially enjoyed the mackerel appetizer and my favorite monkfish liver paste. The main course, grilled Tajimagen kainomi, a rare fish, was delicious. The chef carefully grilled each slice on a charcoal grill and served it with four different sauces. The whitebait rice at the end was also fluffy and made with a generous amount of excellent whitebait, which was very tasty. I'm really grateful to my friend for taking me to such a wonderful restaurant.
