Tsugaru Kappo Mirai is a Japanese Cuisine located a 7-minute walk from JR Aomori Station. This restaurant serves a variety of dishes made with carefully selected ingredients from Aomori. I made a reservation by phone in advance for the chef's selection course. There were no other customers that day, so I enjoyed the course one-on-one with the owner. We started with a soup of dried scallops! The rich flavor of the scallops melted into the soup and was so delicious that it delighted my stomach. After that, dishes made with ingredients from Aomori appeared one after another. It had been a while since I had Atka mackerel sashimi, but it was so delicious I couldn't help but gulp down my sake. I heard that they only use ingredients from Aomori except for wasabi. I wonder if this is the strength of Aomori, which boasts a self-sufficiency rate of 120%. The handmade soba noodles made by the owner were delicious, and the honey sorbet for dessert was also insanely delicious. Above all, the conversation with the owner was so interesting that I wanted to keep coming back. Food that I truly thought was delicious, and fun conversation with the owner. Is it okay to be so cheap? This is a shop you definitely want to stop by when you visit Aomori!
