この度予約して初訪問したが、店舗の入り口には「満席である」旨の注意書が。この日は全て予約で埋まり、一見さんお断りということだろう。外からは店内は伺えずまさか休業かと肝を冷やしたがそんなことはなく、既に店内の席の過半数以上が先客で埋まっていた。
前菜にはオクラ、その後は酒のつまみにイガメンチ、もつ煮込み、平目刺・・・と次々注文。
平目は流石青森産と言うべきか、瀬戸内海ものとは違い歯応えは一歩及ばぬものの、蕩ける舌触りと脂の旨味は抜群と評するべき仕上がりであった。
そしてこの店の名物、「貝焼き味噌」。
一人一品に限り１００円という破格の値段で味わえるというのだから他店では見られずこの店の個性という他あるまい。
貝の身・・・ホタテ？のプリプリとした歯ごたえのある肉が日本酒に合うのは最早口にするまでもないことだが、味つける味噌、さらにそれらを包む和風出汁の効いた卵（卵とじ）がこれまた絶品。珍味と濃い味付けの東北珍味の中でこの卵の優しい味わいが尚更引き立つ。
また、この日「味噌身欠き鰊」という料理の存在を初めて知った。刺身（あるいは〆鯖）に近い身が濃い味噌にまみれたどこか「なめろう」を思い起こさせる魚介の珍味、塩気に負けない瑞々しい鰊の歯応えは、日本酒と組み合わせれば酔いつぶれるまで飲酒が止まらなくなりそうだ。そんな病み付きになる危険な魅力が舌と脳に刻まれる。
日本酒は地酒で１０種類以上は揃っているようで、飲み比べ（３種８５０円）もある。
この日は特別純米「田酒」が舌に合った。微炭酸のような程好い舌を痺れさせる感触と、やや甘めのしっかりした味わいが、酒の進んだ後半でも旨味として楽しめた。
