日本橋三越に期間限定で出展していた際に購入。
虎鯖棒すし500UPという商品で500ｇ～599ｇの魚体の鯖を使用しているようです。
鯖寿司というといづうがまず思い浮かびますが、あちらは一晩寝かしたあとに昆布を巻いて更に寝かしますが、こちらは塩と酢のみで3日間寝かしているという違いがあります。
購入日の夕食として食べてみましたが、しっかりと脂の旨味が強く感じられ、鯖の良さが感じられますね。棒すしの中では低価格の商品ということもあってか厚みはそれなりかなと感じますし、旨味の複雑さという点では昆布を巻いているいづうの方が上手な印象。
翌日の朝食も食べてみると、味の傾向は大きく変わらずに鯖の旨味が感じられますね。昆布の有無でここまで味変するか否か変わるんだなと思いますが、素直に鯖を楽しみたいという人にはこちらの方が合っているかと思います。
味からすると価格はかなり安く感じられます。近隣の百貨店に来た際には購入したいですし、秋に現地訪問する機会があれば、利用したいと思いました。
