On the way home from the concert, I went to eat at a Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in front of the station. It's a restaurant on the first floor of Souk Kaihin Makuhari. It was really crowded, but I was lucky that there were a few large tables available! I was screaming the whole time during the concert, so my throat was dry. The draft beer was delicious! I was also happy that the towels smelled good. For the appetizer, I had grated whitebait with Tosa soy sauce. The coarsely grated daikon radish was crunchy and had an interesting texture! I was debating whether to get the special liver or the liver special, so I ended up ordering both. The special liver was fluffy and had a delicious sweet sauce. The liver special had firm liver topped with sesame oil, salt, and lots of green onions. I also ate the lettuce roll with a lighter sauce that was different from the liver. I think cooked lettuce is more delicious than raw lettuce. The foil-grilled salmon belly with four kinds of mushrooms and butter soy sauce stimulated my appetite. The destructive power of butter is amazing! The umeboshi sour came with a whole big umeboshi. The umeboshi are very salty, so you can't help but eat more. My favorite is the yam fries. They're crispy yet chewy and incredibly delicious! They were so good I wanted to have a second serving. Hagio's kamaboko came with real wasabi for 380 yen. Seafood oden was a bit different, but it was also interesting. The wakame seaweed that had absorbed the broth was delicious. I actually wanted to eat Ramen at the end, but I got carried away and ate too much, so I gave up this time. I often come to Makuhari for various reasons, so I'll come again.
