ひじきドライカレー
シバのスペシャリテ、ひじきドライカレー。インド人やネパール人にはまず思いつかないであろうカレー。一見キワモノに見えますが、実に素晴らしい。
米よりひじきの方が多い。糖質過多になりがちなカレーにあって、異端と言えるほどの低糖質。辛さはそれほどではなく、プラス50円で辛さ増しができますが、どちらかと言うと通常のままがおすすめ。このひじきカレーはとにかく噛んで欲しいから。辛いとせっかくのひじきを勢いで飲み込んでしまいがちで、もったいないと思う。
ベジタブルカレーが付きますが、これは野菜スープ代わりにして、ひじきカレーにはかけない方が好み。サービスターリが有名な店なので、3種のカレーが付くひじきセットの場合、ダルバートのように3種ともかけて混ぜていた人を見たけど、あれだとひじきカレーの良さがスポイルされてしまうと思った。
百名店に選出されたことで、土日は12時〜13時半頃のピーク時には待ち行列ができることがあります。ただ、お隣検見川のシタールほどではなく、ピーク時を外せば並ばなくて済むのが嬉しい。

ひじきドライカレーを頼もうとして、ノーマルのドライカレーを食べていないことに気づいたので頼んでみた。
ドライカレー1780円
「シバのチキンカレーを焼き付けながらエビと一緒に焼き上げる特製フライドライス。香ばしいビリヤニ風」とのことだが…ドライカレーとしてはとても美味しいけど、店のコメントとギャップがあるような。ライスにエビ感は無いかなぁ。炊いているわけでもないので、ビリヤニというのも…うーむ。
やっぱり、ひじきドライカレーの方がスペシャリティっぽくていいなぁ
