Mackerel salt set meal at an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with a water wheel
At night, we have lunch at a restaurant that operates Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), which is about a 5-minute walk from JR Nishi-Funabashi Station. There is a water wheel in front of the store, giving it the atmosphere of a long-established store. The inside of the store also has the feel of a good old wooden building, giving it a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere. Perhaps because he is a fan of sumo wrestling, you can also see sumo goods such as large sumo bags. I ordered a mackerel salt set meal and Small dish of meat and tofu. When you order a set meal, you can choose one Small dish, and there are also other options such as natto and fried chicken. The mackerel in the set meal is large, fresh, and filling. Small dish of meat and tofu was neither too sweet nor too salty, just right, and to put it simply, the seasoning is similar to that of Sukiyaki. The miso soup has a slightly strong seasoning, but it goes well with the grilled fish and is delicious. The store was extremely crowded as it was around 12:00, and we had to leave early because there were other customers. I think it's a famous restaurant in Nishi-Funabashi that you'll want to visit at night as well.

西船橋に行くと時々訪問する居酒屋さんのランチ定食。
個人的には焼魚が美味だと思っていて、今回もサバ定食を注文。焼魚はサバ以外には鮭ハラスやあこう鯛などがあるのだが、どうしてもサバを注文してしまう。他にもミックスフライや肉豆腐の定食などがありメニューのバリエーションは豊富。
肉厚で油がのっている塩サバと追加で付けたミニ刺身は安定の味。
DHAをしっかりと補給して午後の活力を養う。
次は違うものを…と帰り際にはいつも思うのであるが…また訪問したい。
