The only sake brewery on Naritasan Omotesando
Naritasan has been popular as a sacred site in the Kanto region since the Edo period, and with the construction of the railway and the opening of the Keisei Railway, the area became even more lively,
...and many restaurants and Ryokan became even more popular. Eizo Takizawa, the founder of our brewery, stayed overnight on a pilgrimage at the end of the Edo period and received a dream from Fudo-sama telling him to "make sake here." He opened a liquor store at the current location where the former stood, and began brewing sake using high-quality rice from nearby areas. Shortly thereafter, word spread that the water from our sake brewery's well was very delicious and good, and more and more people stopped by our site during their pilgrimages and returned home after drawing water from the well. Stories began to come in from all over the world, such as people being cured of diseases, living very long lives, and being the master of a hundred medicines. That's why we named the sake we brewed ``Chomei'', meaning a sake with spiritual power that extends longevity.
