Sawara in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture is famous as one of the three major Edo towns in the Kanto region, along with Kawagoe and Tochigi. Dashi chazuke is made by combining locally produced premium soy sauce and mirin with natural seafood stock. Grilled pork loin marinated in miso. Grilled chicken thighs with salted koji. A bowl of yam made with natural soup stock. Grilled venison meal. We use Small dish of seasoning, natural soup stock, and additive-free ingredients. Onogawa curry, made with venison simmered with 15 types of spices and mixed with dashi stock, is also popular. At night, in addition to snacks and daily specials made with our signature soup stock, we offer over 40 different dishes. |

This shop is located along the Onogawa River, which runs through the historic streets of Sawara. For lunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, it is easier to secure a seat if you arrive around 11:00
