A popular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with a great atmosphere
I visited "KARATACHI" again. First, I ordered salted parent chicken, fried squid, chicken neck with ponzu sauce, chicken skin, and egg wrapped in dashi. It was as delicious as ever. I also ordered meat hotpot from the menu written on the whiteboard. The ingredients were pork belly and vegetables such as bean sprouts, and the hotpot had a light soy sauce-based soup, but it was very delicious. I was told that I could choose between noodles or rice porridge to finish the hotpot, so I chose the rice porridge. It went well with the dashi soup, so I'm glad I chose the rice porridge. I drank and ate well again that day and was very satisfied. As always, all the dishes were very delicious. I once again felt that delicious food is what attracts customers.
A cozy, hidden Izakaya (Japanese-style bar)
I visited "KARATACHI" located near the sea side of Imabari World Plaza. It's a restaurant I've been interested in for a long time. The restaurant was almost full and crowded with many customers. It was my first time there, but it was a chic restaurant with a great atmosphere. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, from fresh Seafood to salads, a la carte dishes, Chicken Cuisine, and snacks, so I chose what caught my eye. Chewy parent chicken (with sauce and salt), chicken neck and ponzu. Thick fried tofu soaked in ponzu. Sakiika tempura with shichimi pepper and soy sauce mayonnaise, a perfect combination. Crispy grilled chicken skin. Soft and fluffy dashi-marinated eggs with a perfect combination of grated daikon and soy sauce. Well-seasoned senzanki. I finished off with a Margherita pizza. Every dish was delicious!! There is a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, including beer, highballs, sours, shochu, cocktails, plum wine, and sake. Not only beer, but also highballs, sours, and shochu can be ordered in large mugs, which is very appealing. I drank and ate to my heart's content and was very satisfied. The atmosphere of the restaurant, the reasonably priced and delicious food, and I happened to find a restaurant that I liked.

I think I'm becoming a regular at KARATACHI. On this day, I was treated very courteously despite visiting late, just before 9pm. I ordered the standard chicken skin, chicken breast with ponzu sauce, dashi-wrapped egg, and meat hotpot, which are must-orders. I also ordered Other dishes I'd never tried before, such as sauteed broccoli with garlic, pufferfish and monkfish liver with ponzu sauce, deep-fried tofu, and French fries. The pufferfish was served with two slices of sea bream, and the deep-fried tofu was served in a stylish container. All were seasoned to my liking. They had run out of broth for the meat hotpot, so I decided to have it with ponzu sauce. This was also delicious. To finish off the meal, I added an egg to make rice porridge, as recommended by the restaurant and staff. As always, everything I ate was delicious.
