I went there at 11:30, right when it opened. Four people went in together. All four of them ordered soba noodles. This is the second store of [a:38008680, Ozu Robata Aburaya]. I was also hesitant about soba, but I ordered the Tonkuri Mabushi (1,300 yen) from Hatsushi Kantetsu. It was lit in about 15 minutes. Tonkuri Mabushi is an Ozu specialty. Also comes with miso soup and pickles. I ate the first and second bowls as is. I ate the third and fourth bowls hitsumabushi style with dashi soup. Contains Sukiyaki pork, teriyaki chestnuts from Ozu, mitsuba leaves, chili peppers, green onions, and sesame seeds. The pork Sukiyaki meat is tender, and the Ozu chestnut teriyaki is sweet. It's delicious to eat as is, but when you eat it with dashi soup, the taste of the sweet sauce blends well with the dashi soup. The miso soup had fried chicken and wakame. I would like to try Hanamaki soba next time.
