Fresh ingredients are prepared by energetic chefs! This is Seafood Atom.
We are based in Fukui Prefecture, and one of our attractions is that you can enjoy our local ingredients to your heart's content. The interior of the restaurant is an open kitchen, typical of a sushi |
Two weeks have passed since the record-breaking snowfall. I've been spending every day clearing snow, and I didn't have time for lunch, but I've finally gotten back to my normal routine, so I invited my wife out for the first time in a while. I wanted to eat fresh fish that day, so we decided to go to a convenient conveyor belt Conveyor belt sushi. I knew that "Kita no Oyaji" in front of Fukui Station was the best, but I was taking my eldest daughter, who had the day off work, and my second daughter, who was on spring break from university, with me, so we decided to go to "Seafood Atom Wakasugi Branch," where the gold plate is a little cheaper than "Kita no Oyaji," where the gold plate is 880 yen lol. It's probably been more than 10 years since I last came to this restaurant. It's the oldest Conveyor belt sushi chain in Fukui, and I used to come here often because it was the only option, but recently, new chain stores have been opening one after another, so I haven't been there at all lol. The gold plate seems to be 680 yen excluding tax. It's a little cheap after all lol. It's just before lunchtime, so the restaurant has just opened, so the restaurant is still empty. I was a little skeptical about the conveyor belt where there was hardly any Sushi on the way, but I was guided to a table seat at the back. Previously, orders were only made verbally, and only those who could shout out loud were able to place their orders quickly, which was not a very good system for a timid person like me, but it seems that they have also introduced touch panel ordering lol. I ordered a medium draft beer first. My eldest daughter, who is a big eater, became the touch panel master and started placing her own orders first, so I mustered up my courage and ordered verbally, and it was brought to me in no time ♪ I only had a sip, but the mug was half full... Is this a small draft beer instead of a medium draft beer? Isn't 626 yen including tax a bit too expensive? Next, my "special sea urchin" which I also ordered verbally was brought out quickly ♪ It seems that orders on the touch panel are put on hold lol. It was supposed to be a gunkanmaki, but the serving was a bit too big, like a rubber boat, but the taste was okay. I felt bad for my wife who could only eat tea and pickled ginger, but I enjoyed the food. There was no Sushi coming through the conveyor belt at all, so I wondered if there was any point in having the conveyor belt running. It was past lunchtime and customers were starting to pile up, but it was still too lonely. The only thing that came around was salmon, which my wife doesn't like. I felt sad when I saw the order text that filled the touch panel screen. I'm a coward, so I tried to raise my voice as hard as I could, but the chef passed my order to me over the counter, seared blackthroat seaperch and herring roe, but the order from the touch panel took a long time to arrive. The blackthroat seaperch was from Korea, and it was very fatty and had a bad aftertaste. For some reason, the tuna and salmon roe that I ordered later from the touch panel came out before the Sushi that my wife ordered when she sat down. My wife was completely angry. Her face was sullen and her body was trembling. The gentle wife's attack was focused on me, who passed on the "Kita no Oyaji" and chose "Seafood Atom" (>_<) The wife's first order was "Ebi Zanmai" and "Kaikai Zanmai". It was a bargain at 300 yen for three pieces per plate, and she thought it would be a good idea to eat a few quickly, but it completely backfired... In the end, the "Zanmai Series" arrived 20 minutes after we sat down. (`Д´) What a pain!! There was no Sushi to fill the room, so it was like torture. It was a good thing that the wife was gentle, but if I was a coward, I would have been furious and would have gone crazy (-_-#) Still, when my Sushi finally arrived, the wife calmed down a little... I'm sorry m(_ _)m I didn't know the restaurant had become like this...orz By the way, the "Avocado Zanmai" that my second daughter ordered took more than 30 minutes, so I verbally re-ordered it and it came out quickly. Maybe they forgot, or the chef was slow, or the operation was bad, but maybe it was all of them. The Fukui salmon I ordered as an extra was watery, the horse mackerel nigiri was fishy, and even though I ate a lot of pickled ginger, the nausea didn't go away for a while. My wife also said, "The shellfish feast was fishy and I lost my appetite." So she put down her chopsticks early, and just when I was thinking of saying goodbye to the "kappa rolls" of different sizes to wash it down, my "monkfish liver" arrived, which I had forgotten when I ordered, and I was disappointed (-_-) It was a family lunch after a long time, so it was very disappointing.
