[Memory Post: June 21, 2020] The third Sunday of the month is a relaxing day. I searched for a Japanese-style meal restaurant that Cho-san can't go to because it is closed on Mondays, and I came across Kankichi Fukui Shimouma Branch. There are four restaurants called Kankichi in Fukui Prefecture. This restaurant is run by a different parent company. But that doesn't really matter to me as a food blogger. Even though it was a Sunday, there were only three other people who entered the restaurant at the same time as it opened. Are the reverberations of the coronavirus still lingering? I sat at a counter seat where various brands of 1.8L bottles of sake were lined up closely, and when I checked the lunch menu, it was the same as the other Kankichi restaurants. I was a little hungry, so I ordered the Noodle Set Meal with grated daikon radish for 1,380 yen (excluding tax). It arrived at a good time. *[b:「Sushi」] There are six kinds: yellowtail, tuna, sweet shrimp, octopus, flounder, and green onion gunkan *[b:「Tempura」] There are four kinds: shrimp, sweet potato, lotus root, and carrot *[b:「Grated radish soba」] *Other dishes included [b:「Chawanmushi」] and pickles. My favorite Sushi is the yellowtail and tuna, which are especially delicious. The amount of "Grated radish soba" that I tried as the final dish was surprisingly large, and I left the restaurant rubbing my bloated stomach. Thank you for the delicious meal.
