A Sushi restaurant in "Fukui Ekimae Yokocho" As the name suggests, you can get Sushi with red vinegar. There were no red vinegar restaurants in Fukui before this one. I like red vinegar because it has a strong umami flavor and a sweet taste. There is no craftsman at the counter, so you can't see the craftsman at work, but the Sushi is not bad. However, the wasabi is self-service, which makes it feel like Conveyor belt sushi. Today, I wanted to have a light drink, so I went here. I ordered a "draft beer" for 499 yen (excluding tax) and "rare fried bonito" from the seasonal menu for 780 yen (excluding tax). The Sushi was "5-piece set, regular size" for 980 yen (excluding tax). I was expecting the bonito to be rare, but it was cooked to a moderate degree. Well, that's about it. The mousse was quite good. The 5-piece set included flounder, red shrimp, salmon, yellowtail, and inari. As expected, the red shrimp is recommended. The location of this restaurant was originally "Taishu Sakaba Radon", but moved to its current location in 2021. Radon was a restaurant that offered light snacks at extremely reasonable prices (although the menu seemed a little out of touch with the needs of Fukui people...). Because of that, the setting was very down-to-earth. That atmosphere remains the same in the current restaurant. Since it is a red vinegar restaurant, I think it would become even more popular if they made it more Sushi like, changed the color of the lighting, and made the setting more streamlined. It's a great restaurant where you can enjoy creative Sushi at reasonable prices, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in the future.
