I went to Fukui because I wanted to eat Echizen crab, which I often see on TV. Since I was going to go there by plane and don't get to go there often, I wanted to eat good food even if it was a little expensive, and I wanted to stay in a nice room, so I searched for lodgings in order of price and decided on this one. It's common sense that good things are expensive, but these days I feel like neither the seller nor the buyer understands this. Well, first of all, there are only three rooms to stay in, but it's traditional Ryokan style with shared toilets and baths. The building is new, but the price seems a bit out of balance. It truly feels like an updated version of the old Ryokan style with the same system. That's a novel idea! The interior is beautiful and modern, so I feel like it's a waste. I should have paid attention to it anyway. But, well, the main thing is the food, so I look forward to that! Mozuku vinegar, soba noodles, chawanmushi, sashimi, etc. were served, then crab sashimi, and finally the boiled Echizen crab presented as a gift. They will carefully peel a whole piece right in front of you. Echizen crabs over 1.1 kilograms are considered to be presented, but larger crabs have appeared! This is delicious, especially the shoulder. The nails also have a unique texture, which is a luxury. However, from this point on, I started to get tired of the belly bread and the taste of crab. Luxurious worries! After this, we had grilled crab, crab Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), and then dessert. The next morning we had a bowl of crab Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot), which was full of crabs. I thoroughly enjoyed the type of crab that I would probably never eat, but I think 170,000 yen is a bit high. I feel that business is important because it makes people want to come back next year. I don't think it's good that everything is cheap these days, but I also don't like the idea of things being expensive when they're selling well. The balance between value and price is important, and if the value exceeds it, you will be a repeat customer. Those basics are the most important.
