My first visit to "Ikesu Cuisine Miyabi", a restaurant with a slightly more formal feel even in Obama. It's located very close to Mermaid Beach. When you enter the quaint building, it has a retro Showa-era design, and from the counter, you can see a fish tank like a pond in front of you, and you can see the cooking going on behind it, which is quite a nice display. There is also an aquarium tank behind the counter. I ordered the "Wakasa Fisherman's Bowl" for 2,530 yen. The fisherman's bowl comes with two nigiri nigiri, Wakasa Guji Head Shio Soup, Small dish, and pickles. I was looking forward to it, but it took quite a while to make it, probably because it was made by one person. There were quite a few customers, but I probably waited about an hour. To be honest, this is not something you can do if you're short on time. And finally, the food arrived. The fisherman's bowl is topped with shrimp and whelk Sushi and comes with Wakasa Guji Head Shio Soup (red soup). First, I had the Sushi. It was just as delicious as usual. The fisherman's bowl contains amberjack, tuna, sea bream, salmon roe, octopus, Fukui salmon, and swordfish. As expected, it was fresh and delicious. The sea bream in particular had just the right amount of softness and flavor. The amberjack was freshly filleted, and the flesh was plump and fresh. Maybe because I waited so long, I finished it all in one go.
