I visited Rakutenchi for the first time since I lived in Fukuoka and had often seen their signboards around town but had never been able to go there. I had a hard time deciding since there are so many restaurant, but this time I chose the second one because it was closer to where I was staying. The interior and exterior of the store was very clean and had a luxurious feel. Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) is full of impressive chives, which you can see in the photo. The hormones used are from Iwate Iwate kanzaki ushi a brand of beef from Iwate, which contains not only regular small intestine hormones but also various other hormones. This offal is a high-quality fat that goes well with soy sauce-based soups, which are light and not too heavy. Also, I was happy to have unlimited condiments such as yuzu and pepper, and I personally enjoyed the all-you-can-eat mentaiko marinated in oil. Rakutenchi-san, the taste was very good, but there were two downsides. One is that the cost performance is very poor. Another thing is that there are few side menus. First of all, regarding cost performance, one Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) is just under 5,000 yen, which is too expensive. Furthermore, the amount of hormones contained is quite small. Therefore, I ordered additional hormones, but the amount was also extremely small. The additional hormone costs about 2,500 yen despite the extremely small amount. The bill for two people was over 15,000 yen, including two Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) + one additional serving of hormones and alcohol. To be honest, there are many places in Hakata with the same quality for around 3,500 yen per person, so I thought there was no advantage to choosing Rakutenchi. Another thing about the lack of side menus is that, as mentioned above, Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) area is expensive, so even if you want to fill your stomach with other menu items, there are few options and they don't have anything that might make you hungry. I can only recommend it to people who are willing to pay a higher price to eat only the delicious Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) than the two above. It was a shame because the quality of the taste of Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) and the cleanliness and spaciousness of the store were wonderful. Thank you for the meal.
