Introducing Meat Master Botan, located east of Hakata Station. Meat Master Botan opened in February 2021 on the basement floor of the ARK Building east of Hakata Station. I was actually very curious about a restaurant called Okomeno-Chikara, which was open for lunch for a limited time at that location, so I checked it out and found that it was also open at night, so I made a reservation in advance and visited. The restaurant is a 4-minute walk from the Chikushi exit of Hakata Station, and many of the coin-operated parking lots in the area were full, so I parked my car in one of the coin-operated parking lots on the premises of the building and went down the stairs to the basement. The restaurant is right in front of you at the bottom of the stairs. When you enter the restaurant, there is a fish pond in front of you, but nothing is swimming. There is an L-shaped counter with a kitchen behind it, tables on the right side, and two private rooms on the left side. The staff showed us the way and we were seated at a table at the back of the room. The course I reserved this time was the Arita Chicken Hot Pot and the Squid Ikisaki course for 5,500 yen. We didn't add the all-you-can-drink option, which costs 1,500 yen for 90 minutes, because we don't drink. I had already looked at the menu on the Internet, but I found that the restaurant is called "Meat Master," so there are Hot Pot, Sukiyaki, shabu shabu, Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) using Arita chicken, Itoshima pork, Imari beef, and Hakata domestic wagyu beef, and also Seafood including squid and abalone. I was looking forward to this, when the staff apologetically told me that they could not offer squid sashimi today due to a poor catch, so they would have to offer sashimi with squid and a 1,100 yen discount from the course price. I thought to myself, "Oh, the kesu was empty, and I've heard that the squid have been getting smaller recently due to poor catches. I thought, "Oh, well, they have live squid, but they don't have live ones, and if they have live ones, they are fresh and tasty, so getting 1,000 yen back for them is rather a good deal, isn't it? I was so excited that the price was lower than I had expected that I asked the staff if there was anything else they could recommend. The staff was very excited and said that grilled abalone was very popular, so we decided to add abalone sashimi and grilled abalone! The abalone sashimi was delicious, but the grilled abalone with butter and soy sauce was so much better! Of course, the Arita chicken Hot Pot and squid sashimi course also started with an assortment of appetizers, followed by sesame kanpachi, horse sashimi Sushi, yama-kurage, chicken sashimi, black mussel and mushrooms with vinegared miso, all delicious(^-^). Tempura The squid sashimi that came out after that was also not made with squid, so the meat was not clear, but it was fresh, sweet and crispy because it was made with squid. Also, the Arita Chicken Tempura that came out afterwards was also very tasty. And the Arita Chicken Hot Pot. At Hot Pot in Hakata, the first thing you get is the soup. There are a lot of restaurants that have a strong soup with a little bit of a smell, but this one has a strong taste, but it is very clear and has no smell at all, so you can drink it and want to drink it. After getting the chicken bones boiled in this broth, I put in the ingredients and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. The chicken, the chicken balls, and the vegetables were all delicious. The tsumimi, in particular, seemed to be made from chicken and pork, and was especially tasty! It seems that this was a service for the fact that they couldn't serve the live squid due to a poor catch, but when I had it with shabu shabu, it was also very tasty and I felt like a master of meat. I enjoyed the Hot Pot, but the Champon noodles that followed were the most delicious ever! I was told to boil the fresh noodles and then boil them in the soup for about 2 minutes before serving, but the first time I had them with ponzu (Japanese citrus juice) and they were delicious, then I had them with the soup and noodles as they were, and the soup had just the right amount of saltiness and the noodles themselves were so delicious that they were gone in an instant (;^ω^) Champon more noodles! I thought about ordering more noodles, but then I wondered what about udon or rice gruel? I thought about having more noodles, but then I thought, "What about udon and rice gruel? I can do it because they add more soup every time, but considering that this soup is free to refill, I think it is very reasonable. The udon was also very firm and tasty, and the ojiya and egg were also tasty, and the spicy takana came with it, so overall it was very tasty, but to be honest, the Champon noodles were outstanding! And Hot Pot was really good, but I'm also interested in Sukiyaki and shabu shabu where you can get this level of Hot Pot. Above all, the price is not so expensive for the taste, atmosphere, and customer service.
