本当は中洲にあるこちらの本店に伺いたかったのだが、残念ながら日曜日がお休みだったので、こちらの支店に伺った。
日曜日の午後6時、予約せずに伺ったが、先客も後客もゼロ、終始、自分たちだけで貸切りであった。こちらのお店はキャナルシティの程近くに新しく出来たと思われる綺麗なビル（RJRプレシア博多）の1階部分に入居している。あまり人気のある界隈ではないのか、同じビルに入っている両隣のお店もガラガラであった。
ともあれ、鰻の「せいろ蒸し」をオーダーする。鰻の量に応じて「特」（1.5尾）、「松」（1尾）、「竹」（0.5尾）とある。自分は「特」を、同伴者は「松」をオーダー。鰻が出てくるまでのツナギとして、う巻き、うざく、串焼き3本セット（肝、ヒレ、くりから）もオーダー。
まずは「う巻き」と「うざく」が到着。「う巻き」は予想外に甘さが強めである。「うざく」は鰹節が振りかけてあるというところが珍しい。
続いて串3本セット。タレの甘さはほどほどで、どれも普通に美味しくいただかことができた。
そしてメインの「せいろ蒸し」。1.5尾はなかなかボリュームあり。蒸しているためだと思うのだが、ご飯にタレがしっかり染み込んでいて、それでいてまったくベチャベチャしていない。鰻ご飯の食べ方としては最強かもしれない。鰻自体は、関東焼のようにフワフワということもないし、関西焼のようでもない。ちょっとモサッとしているというか、瑞々しさが不足しているように自分には感じられたのだが、同伴者はまったくそんな感想を持たなかったとのことなので、上記は個人的な暫定意見として受け止めていただきたい。
接客陣は、着物を着た中年の女性が4名ほどという体制で、人数としては十分だし、（客が自分たちだけであったということもあるだろうが）自分たちに対するアテンションも十分であったのだが、何もすることがないとかなりお喋りをしておられた。
