Our shop was founded in 1945 and is said to be the birthplace of Hakata bite-sized Gyoza / Dumpling. Hakata bite-sized Gyoza / Dumpling is a cute little Gyoza / Dumpling with a shape that has its roots in old Chinese coins, and its appeal is that it's so easy to eat that you can eat it even at the second or third restaurant. Although our bite-sized Gyoza / Dumpling look small, they have a strong flavor that bursts with the sweetness of onion and the delicious flavor of pork as soon as you put them in your mouth. Please try the traditional taste that has been preserved for over 70 years since our establishment.

Our grilled Gyoza / Dumpling do not use garlic, but are made with a filling made from onions, minced meat, and chives, wrapped in a special wrapper, and finished in a shape similar to steamed grilled dumplings. The bean paste is kneaded to bring out the depth of flavor and soft texture. The thin skin is characterized by its aromatic yet melt-in-your-mouth flavor. By adjusting the degree of grilling in seconds depending on the temperature and humidity of the day, you can enjoy the same Hountei flavor no matter when you come.

How about a la carte menu before Gyoza / Dumpling? The ``garlic stewed chicken wings'', which are simmered with garlic chicken dish, and the ``chive egg toji'', which is crispy on the outside and perfectly grilled on the inside, are classics. I would like to recommend the ``hand-wrapped wonton noodles''. This delicious soup made with slow-cooked chicken bones and several kinds of handmade sauces is also available at our sister restaurant, Gyoza / Dumpling Cafeterias HŌUNTEI, which opened in Marinoa City Fukuoka.
