I heard there was a great Senbero restaurant in Tenjin, so I went there. I made an online reservation on a Friday evening and headed out. When I entered, the regulars (those who are used to this system) were already enjoying themselves. The staff seemed busy, so even though I was a beginner, I couldn't ask anything and was fidgety... The system is to buy tickets and exchange them for drinks and food of your choice. We chose 2,000 yen = 9 tickets. *I saw the words "1 ticket is a bonus" but I didn't ask (cry) First, we toasted with beer (2 tickets used) It's fun to have another beer after yourself, like Beer Garden! There were a lot of drinks to choose from, but it was clearly stated that we only had 1 beer, so it was easy for us to order. For food, we had a sashimi platter first (1 ticket used) 3 types for 1 ticket! Not a great deal. Next, we had 1.5 go of shochu (2 tickets used) We ordered the hot water set, so we enjoyed the sake while warming our bodies. I got some turban shell sashimi (used up two tickets). I wanted to order something from the counter, but didn't know how to order, so I just got stuff from the fridge. But since I was there, I ordered some charcoal-grilled local chicken (used up one ticket). They said they'd bring it to my seat, so I waited at my seat. They seemed busy serving customers, and I was a bit worried they'd forgotten about me, but about 15 minutes later, a bowl of hot charcoal-grilled local chicken was brought to me, garnished with cabbage. It was super delicious. I exchanged the last ticket for a canned chuhai from the fridge. Even though there were lots of platters, I wasn't really adventurous. I was scared of myself. But the food was delicious, the bill was clear, and I think this is the best senbero place ever.
