I visited Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) Torira, a 100-famous yakitori restaurant that has won a BRONZE AWARD, a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station. It is a restaurant that does not accept new reservations, but I was invited by an acquaintance and was able to go. I visited on a Saturday at 9pm. The owner, Mr. Hirohata, is the driving force behind making Takasaki chicken famous nationwide. The skewers are perfectly cooked and undoubtedly delicious, but the quality of the side dishes stands out from other Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurants! The seaweed rolls, kumquat TKG, and liver pate were especially delicious! I enjoyed the meal to the very end, including Mr. Hirohata's talk. [Today's menu] <Side dishes> 1. Chicken fillet sashimi 2.
