Food Amami Oshima home cooking passed down since the Edo period!
A typical Local Cuisine of Amami Oshima, ingredients such as chicken, tinsel eggs, pickled green papaya, seaweed, citrus peel, and green onions are placed on top of piping hot rice, and piping hot local chicken soup is poured over. Complete! It was a hospitality dish created during the Edo period to entertain Satsuma officials, and is also known as ``Lord's Cuisine.'' It is good for promoting metabolism and liver function, and contains a large amount of niacin, which lowers cholesterol levels. It also contains plenty of collagen, which is effective for beautiful skin and health.

Brown sugar shochu is only allowed to be produced in Amami.
