カウンターから出される鮮度の良い寿司を食べたい自分。席はカウンター一択で、テーブル席なら回転寿司でも良い自分。大将が気難しいタイプだと、どんなに美味しいと言われている鮨店でも足が遠のく自分。寿司店に求めるのは、ゆっくりと気を遣わない空間で、大将ご自慢の寿司や刺し身を語らいながら頂戴したい自分。帰り道に、またひょこりと立ち寄りたくなるお店を求めてしまう。
上から目線で講釈を垂れたが、銀杏さんは全てを叶えて下さるお店である。
インターフォンを押すと店内に通して頂ける。何故に敷居の高い入り口にしたかを大将に聞いたことがある。客と自分のお店を守るその思いに感銘したからこそ、常連客が多いと思う。
本当は教えたくないお店だが、コロナ禍で閉店や苦戦する飲食店は山ほどあるご時世に、頑張ってほしい客からの想いで投函することにした。春の桜は癒やされ大好きだが、自分はこの店のサクラではない。
ご自慢の寿司ネタの数々を堪能すると、五感が満足する。
気さくな大将が自ら釣ってきた魚も頂ける。イカとゲソを炙って頂戴したが、鮮度抜群でとても美味だった。
