PR for restaurants |
This Toitsu restaurant has been in front of Kashii Station for 43 years and is highly recommended for its extensive menu of fresh ingredients delivered directly from the source.
Aiming to create a restaurant where customers can enjoy their meals with peace of mind, the restaurant has counter seats where customers can see the skilled craftsmanship of its chefs, and a large ban |
The other day, I was invited to a meeting and decided to go for Sushi. The restaurant is Sushi no Jirocho, located about a 5-minute walk north from Nishitetsu Kashii Station, along the tracks of the Nishitetsu Kaizuka Line. It is a long-established Sushi that has been loved by locals for over half a century since it opened in front of Kashii Station. The restaurant used to be in front of JR Kashii Station (around the area where the rotary in front of the station is now), but moved to its current location in 2016 due to land readjustment. I had been curious about this restaurant ever since I passed by it while walking around the area. We ordered a course meal, so the dishes were brought out one by one after we sat down. The appetizer Simmered dish kiriboshi daikon. It was cooked just the right amount of soft, and the gentle flavor was impressive. Next was sashimi. The fish was of three kinds: amberjack, sea bream, and salmon, and I thought they were very fresh. You could tell by the texture. The grilled dishes were sawara grilled with miso and dashi rolled egg. When you grill fish with miso, it often burns, but the fish here was cooked to perfection. The rolled sushi was a typical rolled Sushi sushi, with a refined sweetness. Next came the chawanmushi. There was a small mochi at the bottom, and it was very soft. The chicken was also soft, and the flavor of the broth was just right, not too strong or too weak. Then came the main course of nine nigiri Sushi pieces (amberjack, salmon, horse mackerel, sea bream, scallops, tuna, squid, shrimp, and sea urchin) and sea bream soup. All the Sushi was delicious, of course, but the sea urchin was very fresh. The soup also had a good taste of sea bream soup. Finally, a strawberry mini roll cake was brought out for dessert to finish off the meal. For drinks, we started with Yebisu draft beer, followed by a cold "Hakushika" and then a cold "Kanhokuto". As expected, the "Kanhokuto" was good. (^^; Looking at the menu, there are a variety of Japanese sake options, and it's quite a good selection. So, even though I was invited to a special occasion, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. What impressed me was that the flavors weren't too strong overall, but rather gentle. I'd been curious about this restaurant, so I was very grateful to have had the opportunity to try it out in this way. (^^;
