Remarks |
The owner is from Fukuoka. He has trained as a chef in 10 countries around the world, and after returning to Japan, he gained a wealth of experience as a chef at top hotels such as the Hyatt Regency Fukuoka. He is skilled at expressing the unique flavors of Japanese Cuisine while also possessing new ideas acquired from a variety of experiences. |
I found this place while searching for Yakitori in Fukuoka, made a reservation, and visited. From Dazaifu Station, go up the mountain and go further down a narrow path from the torii gate of Kamado Shrine. When I went to Kamado Shrine on a field trip in elementary school, I have fond memories of catching freshwater crabs in the nearby stream. I took a taxi from Dazaifu Station, which cost about 1,500 yen. The shop has a nice atmosphere and feels like an old private house. I once went to a restaurant like this in Kumamoto at the invitation of a foodie. I visited with my mom, and she has a lot of picky eating habits, so we were planning to eat a variety of things, but she said no to that, no to that, so we recommended grilled local chicken thighs, sausage, assorted vegetables, potato salad, fried chicken dish, etc. Finish off with steamed rice. When I told them it was my first time visiting the store, the lady was there to bake the momoyaki for me. This woman is very nice. Usually, many shops use shaped charcoal called Oga charcoal, but this one was Bincho charcoal. As for the food, the grilled momo is perfect, the potato salad is also pretty good, and the rest is average. There were two types of sausages, one spicy and one not so spicy. There is a ritual in which the owner goes around greeting each table during the meal, but I think there is no need for that. The best way to use it is to eat rice while munching on the momoyaki. Access is very difficult if you don't have a car, so just focus on eating and not drinking.
