It's located 10 or 20 minutes outside of town, and as the name suggests, it's a Kagoshima restaurant (Izakaya (Japanese-style bar)). There is a tatami room and a counter inside the store, and there is also a banquet room on the upper floor, although there are stairs. When I'm in a wheelchair, it's all I can do to get into the counter. The recommended dishes are marked with the Satsuma family crest, and it seems that if you order them, you will be able to enjoy a taste of Kagoshima. Depending on the time of year, different menus will be available, including seasonal items. Among them, the recommended ones are grilled local chicken thighs and tonkotsu (braised pork belly). Momoyaki has a strong taste of chicken fat and salt. The tonkotsu has a rich flavor that makes you feel like you are in hot Kagoshima. Also, I recommend the sea cucumber ponzu because it has a nice smooth texture. For dessert, try the potato tempura. This is a good Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) where you can feel safe no matter what you order.
