先日、香春駅スタート・採銅所駅ゴールのＪＲ九州ウォーキングに参加したあと。
小倉まで出てきて、旦過市場の「九州まぐろ」旦過店でまぐろをいただいてきた。
そこでも軽くビールはいただいたんだけど、なんとなくもう少し呑みたいな～と思って、「そういえば」とこのお店に向かってみた。
「門司港地ビール工房」ビアレストラン。かつて、門司区東港町、門司港の跳ね橋「ブルーウイングもじ」のたもとにあったお店だけど、2000年12月にここ米町に移転してきていた。
実は、移転オープン間もない頃に一度店の前まで来ていたんだけど、そのときはお客さんいっぱいでお店に入ることができなかった。
なので、そのリベンジというか・・・。
日曜日だったけど、今回はそれほど混みあうこともなく、すぐに入店できた。
小6娘といっしょだったんで、何か食べたいかと聞くと「まだ食べれる！ピザ食べたい！」と即答。(笑)
既に旦過でまぐろを食べているので、ミニサイズのマルゲリータピッツァ（990円・税込）を注文。ワタシは地ビールのヴァイツェンをジョッキで、娘はコーラで。
この「門司港地ビール工房」ビアレストランのピッツァは、専用の石窯で焼かれている。生地にはビール酵母が使用されていて、生地の独特の旨みがモッツァレラチーズをはじめとした具材の旨みと重なり、いい風味を醸し出している。
で、注文したヴァイツェンのフルーティーな香りが、このマルゲリータと絶妙に合うんだなぁ。門司港地ビールは総じて呑みやすい味のビールで、いろいろな食べ物に合わせられるんだけども。
以前、門司港にあった頃にも何度か訪ねていたお店だけど、またいずれ、ビールと合うおいしい料理を、のんびりといただいてみたいと思う。
