I went to the cosmos in the north for the first time and on the way back found a kappa dream. Come to think of it, I haven't had a drink in the north in the 8 months since I moved to Moritsune. Let's take a walk in the north. The restaurant is smaller than I expected. First of all, sashimi. It's 1480 yen, but I hear you can get a half portion as well. Fresh and crispy fish. Kitakyushu is as fresh as Fukuoka and Nagasaki. Then, fish skewers. Mackerel, yellowtail, salmon, and what did they think? I was wondering whether to order shishamo or a Urumeiwashi. Somehow, the atmosphere of this popular Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) was perfect for Urumeiwashi. However, it had a very hard adult bitter taste. I should have chosen the shishamo after all. Shirasu Negi bread, which seems to be the specialty of the restaurant. baguette It is a simple bread without any seeds or gimmicks, with leeks and shirasu on top. It is a good snack for sake. And Kagoshima's black pig's feet. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. However, as I like the squishy pig's feet, I don't like them too crunchy. To finish off the meal, I had Niigata's hegisoba and Miyazaki's meat rolls Onigiri. I never thought I would be able to eat Niigata cuisine in Kitakyushu. Hegi-Soba is made with seaweed called Nuno-Nori as a binder for soba noodles. It does indeed have a unique seaweed-like slime, similar to wakame (seaweed), and is deliciously different from so-called ordinary soba noodles. Kappa no Yume offers dishes from all over Japan. Kappa no Yume is a hidden gem of a restaurant in the northern part of Japan.
