遠賀川が響灘に注ぐ河口の町、芦屋。その遠賀川を挟んで、東は奇岩景勝の海岸線、西は白砂青松の砂浜と、風光明媚の地であるとともに、『あしやんいか』に代表される新鮮な海の幸に恵まれた海鮮グルメの町でもあります。
今回は、船頭町にある寿司処『げんもん』に行ってきました。
カウンターに座ってケースを見ていると、大きなタイラギが目を引いたので、さっそく注文。九州では、有明海産のものが有名ですね。
ウニは北海道産。
この日の一番のお目当ては、秋から冬にかけて旬を迎えるカワハギ。
大将が、網を使って水槽から取り出します。

モチッとした弾力があり、淡白な味わいが身上です。ネギともみじおろしがいいアクセント。
カワハギの肝を載せれば、濃厚なコクと旨みが加わります。
流れの速い豊後水道で獲れる津さば（しんさば）。同じ大分では佐賀関の関さばが知られていますが、漁場的にはお隣の津久見で水揚げされるそうです。身が締まって、脂ののりがよく、とっても美味しい握りでしたヽ(^o^)丿
〆は、やはり『あしやんいか』。例年ならそろそろシーズン終盤の時期ですが、今年は今も豊漁が続いているそうです。
吸いものは、上品でまろやかな味わい。
