郡山駅前にある人気のまぜそば店。郡山の繁華街は決して大きくはないが、流石福島一の都市だけあって人は密集しているように見える。この店にも4、5人の行列があり、5-10分ほど待って入店。まぜそばの種類は非常に多い。10種類以上。オーソドックスな醤油ベースから台湾まぜそば、チーズを使ったイタリアン風まで。チーズまぜそばは気になったので注文。デフォルトメニューは味噌チーズまぜそば。
チーズは焼かれていてグラタンのような感じ。味噌はというとあまり存在感を感じない。そもそもチーズは粘るので混ぜづらくなる。結論、まぜそばとチーズの相性は良くない。少し入れるならまだしもメインコンテンツにはしづらい。チャーシューブロックや玉ねぎは細かく刻まれているので混ぜてしまうと渾然一体となる。これはこれでいいのだが、混ぜご飯感が強くて特定具材の主張が薄まってしまう感じはする。
まぜそばはなんでも混ぜればそれなりの味にはなってしまうが、その中から選りすぐりを紡ぐのが料理人の腕だろう。そういう意味では少しメニューが多すぎではないか。
