出張で訪れた福島県いわき市。連れと一緒にどこで晩ご飯を食べようかと候補を探す。宿泊したホテルの近くに頃合いの日本料理店があったので、予約して訪問。
テーブル席に案内される。
「いらっしゃいませ、ご注文がお決まりになりましたらお呼びください」
店員さんはやや元気がなく声が小さめ。まあ、あまり元気に大声で接客されてもノリについていけないことがあるので、これで問題ない。
「店主お薦めのメニュー」からいくつか料理を選択。
・あん肝
・刺身盛り合わせ
・黒ソイの煮付け
・めひかり唐揚げ
・キンキの唐揚げ
・ミンク鯨の刺身
料理は早く調理できたものから順に出てくる。お刺身が最初とは限らないようだ。お通しと生ビールでまずは乾杯！ お通しのねぎぬたが期待を超えて旨い。
続いて、あん肝と黒ソイの煮付けが供される。いずれも濃いめの味付けで酒が進む。
少し遅れてめひかり唐揚げ。海中で目が光っているから「めひかり」というらしい。唐揚げは骨ごとバリバリ食べる。カルシウム豊富な食材。
ここで刺身の盛り合わせ。立派な盛り込みは手がかかっている。頼んでよかった。
最初に注文したのはここまで。足りないので追加注文。
キンキの唐揚げ。キンキは煮付けか塩焼きが一般的だが、敢えて唐揚げで注文。これが大正解！ この日一番感動した。
締めのご飯の前にもう一品。ミンク鯨の刺身を頂く。これも絶品。
最高の宴となった。
締めのご飯は取りやめて、どこかでラーメン食べに行くことにして終了。
