I usually only post photos on Tabelog, but this is my first time writing a review. I often travel alone, but this time I went to Gifu. I was picking out some things I wanted to eat, and when I thought of Gifu, I thought of Hida beef! So I decided to try Yakiniku (Grilled meat), and ended up at this restaurant. I was reluctant to eat Yakiniku (Grilled meat) alone, but when I looked at the photos of the restaurant, it looked like a place you could easily go alone, so that's why I decided on this restaurant. The restaurant is run by the owner alone, and on the day I visited, there were no other customers due to the effects of COVID-19. The restaurant's system is that you pick the meat from the shelf and grill it yourself, and it costs 290 yen per plate (it was 240 yen per plate for a limited time on the day I visited), and all meat except for the limited edition meat is charged by the number of plates. Not only was the meat very cheap and delicious, but the rice was also very generous, with free refills if you paid (and the rice is apparently from Gifu, so it's very delicious!). I talked to the owner about various things, but it seems that the effects of COVID-19 have hit him hard, and the situation is tough. I thought it was a great restaurant, so I hope it doesn't close! If you're traveling to Gifu or live in Gifu, this is a great place to casually enjoy Yakiniku (Grilled meat), so please come and visit!
