口コミを拝見し予約したのであった。料亭にしては意外にリーズナブルだし、さりとて小料理屋でも無い。でも、広島料理が主体で、食事が楽しい数時間になりそうな予感がしたのであった…。
まずは入り口から予想を裏返すモノがあった。和菓子屋さん「島々」が店の入り口である。懐石なのに菓子舗？と脳裏は謎マークだらけとなる。後でその理由が判るのだが、最初のインパクトにやられてしまった…。笑笑
さて二階に上がり、ビールで乾杯しコースの始まりである。皿数がトータルで18との事。やはりリーズナブルなコースをお願いしたせいか、各々はそれほど高級食材とはなっていない。が、それなりに丁寧な作りで、明るい接客も含め、実に好ましいのは間違いない。
むしろ、滞在している2時間半ほどの間、切れ目なく楽しませてくれたことの方が特筆に値する。お料理の紹介も含め、楽しい会話が合いの手で入り、こちらのお喋りも弾んだのは間違いない。社員教育もしっかりしていると感じた。経営は大手のようだが、この辺のバランスが上手な理由かもしれない。
締めは先ほどの菓子舗の和菓子と抹茶である。それなりにお酒も頂いたのだが、すーっと、和三盆のお味を楽しんだのであった。お土産に島々の和菓子を用意してもらったのは言うまでもない…。
意表を突くお迎えに始まり、18もの小皿を楽しませていただき、リーズナブルな価格でまとめ、食べた一品がお持たせになるなんて、ある意味新ジャンルの料理屋さんと言えるのでは無いだろうか…。
自分は再訪間違い無しである。
広島の食事処としては推奨といえる。
