Arriving in Hiroshima, I decided to meet up with a friend and have a drink. It was suggested that the area around Nagarekawa would be good. It looks like downtown Hiroshima. This area has a high concentration of shops that are open until late at night. The first drink, the spilled sparkling wine written in large letters on the menu, looked good. I was lucky because the bottle of sparkling wine was just about to be uncorked. By the way, you can get a 200 yen discount on refills. My friend and the restaurant recommended it to me as I wanted everyone to try Oyster at this time of year in Hiroshima. Oyster had a concentrated flavor, no smell at all, and had a very beautiful taste. Fried conger eel with avocado sauce. A good size conger eel topped with seaweed and avocado sauce. It has a crunchy texture and the avocado sauce has a gentle texture. I think it said it was Hiroshima's famous Gansu tempura, Aka Gansu. Gansu is fried minced fish mixed with onions and chili peppers. I once had udon noodles topped with gansu. It looks spicy, but it feels like it's spicy. Even if it's too spicy, it might not go well with alcohol. I think something spicy is just right.
