新時代唐揚げ定食（750円）
ランチで訪問。入店して店内中ほどのテーブル席に案内いただき着席。ランチメニューは日替わり、ハラミ鉄板、新時代唐揚げの３種類の各定食。迷った結果、店名を冠した新時代唐揚げ定食をオーダー。ちなみに日替りは牛肉ピリ辛炒めとささみフライ。
冷奴の小鉢、しば漬け、ご飯、スープのセットともに唐揚げが到着。大振りサイズの唐揚げは４個入っており存在感がある。
揚げたてアツアツなため、衣はカリッとして食感が良く、中はジューシーで柔らかく弾けるような旨味が広がる。ほんのり下味が付いているためそのまま食べてもいいが、備え付けのマヨネーズと絡めて食べると、より一層肉の旨みが感じられる。大振りなため食べ応えもあって旨い。新時代感は余り感じないが、ご飯がガンガン進む。
スープは鶏ガラベースの風味豊かな味わいで、唐揚げの脂分を吸収してくれるような澄み渡った旨味が特徴的。このスープとご飯がお代わり自由なのが嬉しい。
