ちょっと興味をもってこの界隈へ。
レンガ畳の通りに、洋館風の建物が並んでいます。
診療所や英会話学校までそういう建物。
なんでこういう通りが福山にあって、どうして注目されていないのか、、、、
謎。
で、OPENと札がかかっていたけど、なんだかひっそりしているバー＆カフェを見つける。
ランチメニューも表に出ていて、「スリランカカレー」と。
それならば、と入ってみました。
ウイスキーのボトルが並んでいるカウンター。
えっ、中二階に1テーブル浮かんでる！？
お店の人は、なんだかあんまりお客に興味がなさそうですが、注文を取りに来てくれました。
スリランカカレーからチキン。そしてピルスナーウルケルというビールをハーフで。
お店のHPで確認しましたが、このビール、載っていない？ので違うかもしれません。
まずサラダですが、やや多めのボウルに入っており、食べ応えあり。
カレーは日本のカレーライススタイル。ココナッツ風味で甘め。
チキンは柔らかく煮込んでありますが、一口でほおばるにはちょっと大きめ。
ですが、僕はぱくりと行きました。３つ塊があったかな。
食後のコーヒーは、やや苦みの効いたものでした。
最近カレーは、ココイチかインド風カレー店でナンと共に食していたので、
こういう味わい（スリランカと書いてありますが、要はイギリスで食べられている雰囲気にしているカレーライス）もたまには良いな、と思った次第です。
