[Inside the Royal Hotel] Don't underestimate the hotel Ramen. A cup created by Japanese Cuisine. Children are welcome
[Sumiyoshi], located on the second floor of the Onomichi Royal Hotel, serves special dishes made with carefully selected ingredients, such as Onomichi's famous conger eel, ``Conger eel,'' which is car |
Landing in Onomichi for the first time in 10 years. We decided to have dinner at this restaurant inside the hotel we were staying at. It is located on the second floor of the hotel, but you can enter from outside. Apparently you can enter even if you are not a guest. Visited around 6:45pm on weekdays. There were 7 customers in front of me. I took a seat and looked at the menu. There are quite a lot of things. Among them, the Onomichi Ramen that is said to be "made by our hotel's head Japanese chef" is interesting. It looks really delicious though. However, on this day, I was visiting two Ramen at noon. Hmm... And I haven't eaten conger eel yet on this trip to Hiroshima. Okay. Decided. I ordered the ``Onomichi-don set'' (1,540 yen), which comes with grilled boiled conger eel, chirimenjako, and gansu. I would have liked the boiled conger eel rice bowl set, but if it was 110 yen more expensive and came with chirimen potatoes, I thought I'd go with this one. Double cold and hot tea available. The inside of the restaurant has the feel of an old department store Restaurants. The tablecloth gives it that look. You can see Onomichi Channel and Mukojima from the window, and the view is nice. (I'm raising the atmosphere score for the above points) After waiting for a while, the Onomichi-don set came out. The formation is beautiful with the main character, the rice bowl, in the center. Small dish, miso soup, chawanmushi, and pickles complement the rice bowl. From the back of the bowl, gansu, boiled conger eel, and chirimenjako were neatly arranged. True to the picture. I thought that the amount of broiled conger eel would be less than the broiled conger eel bowl set, but there was enough for 1 conger eel. Underneath the chirimenjako in the photo, there was also a solid layer of broiled conger eel spread all over. This is a happy miscalculation. The grilled boiled conger eel has a soft texture. It didn't have any sauce on it, but the rice was coated with a good amount of sauce, so it was good to eat it with rice. Cancer was much hotter than I expected. This was also a happy miscalculation. The coating was crispy and the filling had a chewy texture. Gansu is delicious. I fell in love with Hiroshima during this trip. Grilled boiled conger eel and chirimenjako are good to eat with rice, but what about Gansu? Personally, I don't think it's a side dish for rice. I removed the cancer from the bowl, poured the sauce over it, and enjoyed it individually. Ah, I want beer. I've stocked up on beer in my room, so I'll go back and have a drink. I'd like to try the chef's Onomichi Ramen. Thank you for the meal.
