We were treated to lemon cake and eat-in eclairs and lemon squash at Shimagokoro Co., Ltd., located in Setoda Town, the birthplace of domestic lemons. Located about an hour's drive from mainland Onomichi City in Setoda Town on Ikuchijima Island, the island of lemons, Setoda Lemon Sparkler is a shop where you can taste local lemons. It's open all year round, from 10am to 6pm, and is the third island from Onomichi, and from here onwards it is also the border between Ehime Prefecture and Hiroshima Prefecture! ️There are many take-out items on takeaway, and the lemon cake, which has won the Good Design Award two years in a row, is delicious. The moist dough has the texture and flavor of the lemon pulp trapped inside, making it a cake that really gives you a taste of Setoda. It can be purchased at the souvenir counter on the Shinkansen or at the airport, so it's highly recommended♪ In the store, along with Cream Puffs and eclairs, lemon squash is also sold, and its distinctive refreshing scent makes you feel like you're eating a whole lemon♪ This lemon store is located in the center of Setoda-cho, Ikuchijima, which is about halfway along the Shimanami Kaido, which you enter from Hiroba Airport via Onomichi City❣️ It is the island you arrive at after driving along the Shimanami Kaido for an hour from Onomichi♪ They sell refreshing lemon squash, and you can enjoy eclairs and Cream Puffs in the store to go with it♪ You can also eat lemon cake that is freshly baked in the store. I bought an eclair filled with custard and a lemon squash. The whole island is filled with lemons and orange citrus fruits. We make a lot of them❣️ Setoda lemons are grown in Setoda Town on Ikuchijima Island, in fields with uneven ground and good drainage. The lemons are soft and sweet on the skin, juicy with a crisp acidity, and have a wonderful aroma with little bitterness or astringency♪ We tried two types: lemon squash made with a whole delicious domestic lemon for 509 yen, and long eclair for 250 yen‼ ️ The whole lemon is inside the lemon squash, so you can enjoy the exceptional aroma and refreshing aftertaste for a long time. The eclair has a crispy crust and rich cream that is delicious. Squash → eclair → squash, the balance of sourness and sweetness is just right and it was delicious ♪ I was very satisfied with the delicious dessert and drink. The eclair is the best with its rich cream and crispy crust. It is a shop in the center of town where many people visit the island, including locals and those visiting Shimanami by bicycle, so I recommend it ✨ I was very satisfied to be able to taste the whole lemon of this wonderful island ❣️ ✨Thank you for the meal✨
